Nearly two decades ago, I was even insulted by my grandmother.
She'd insult me and bad mouth my brother.
Insults are not easy to live with.

Insulted

Some people have insulted me before.
If they could step in my shoes, they wouldn't do it anymore.
You get insulted by some people because of the color of your skin.
I hope they never do it again.
God intended you to be black and me to be white.

I have never really understood peoples intolerance for skin color.. We accept color differences everywhere else in life except in people. I cannot understand that a grandmother would insult a grandchild about anything. Mine are perfect in everway, despite skin color.

A true message all right. And I admire the concept of forgetting insults. Best to get that Pride out and stuffed into the smallest corner of our souls.

Good write with such a positive outlook.. I am sorry for people who let colour get in the way.. Don't give up on them.
