To watch the sun as she climbs
I feel the peace and serenity
Where the world cant bother me

As the waves crash upon the shore
I am warm to my very core
The morning chill in the air
Is so crisp and yet, so fair

I watch as I slide my hands
Through the soft delicate sand
The orange light that shines above
Fills me with hope, peace and love

I feel the fresh morning breeze
Watch it blowing in the trees
I feel calm I want to stay
In a place where thoughts go astray

This is my haven a lonely place
Where life goes at a slower pace
To be where the sky meets the sea
And life is far away as can be

Welcome to YPDC! What a lovely first post. I absolutely agree... I'd give just about anything at this very moment to be alone for a moment "where the sky meets the sea".

Lovely write! Looking forward to reading more of your work,
SNM
