[bodytext] => A bed sheet hung across an eastward window
billowed and furled with a cool morning breeze against the soft pinks and blues of awakening. Two lovers giggle and pull up the covers As a yellow tabby sits at their feet Demanding his breakfast. He leaps down to the bare wooden floor And walks to the doorway To show them the way. ‘You do it, no you’ the cold wooden floors not beckoning either, and kisses and touch so warm and new made the journey too hard and the cuddle too inviting. Outside the birds serenade the lovers As the cat is ignoring The sheets windy frolic as it whips at his tail In his window well perch. He just stares at the birds And glares at the lovers, yowling with a cat’s sense of time.
