and sometimes when i am tempted to say
hey it's ok
the pain decides little girl you're not alright
i get punched in the stomach again
tears pounding til i'm black eyed
and drowning in a sea of my own salt
never knew my insides could turn out
never knew how blue my heart was til i wore it on my sleeve
never knew how to be without
for you i hunger so
only eating words i wish i'd never said
and too many left voiceless
that i cannot consume your heart with them now
lord knows i miss you so
so shaded and changed and chained by the remains
of a love now buried neath an avalanche of snow
and i am but a flake
a million different versions of myself
no two the same
and melting slowly
in the heat of your disdain
but love i love you so
and miss you still.

This is such a great poem. It kind of left me saying, "wow". I love the line "so shaded and changed and chained by the remains" beautiful, simply beautiful. awesome write.

I loved this stanza. I'm going through the same exact thing. There's so much I wish i hadn't said but they came out anyways. Best of luck to you in the future
