Array ( [sid] => 59111 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => reflections [time] => 2004-08-06 08:44:02 [hometext] => two days ago, i returned from a month in malaysia. it was the most incredible, inspirational month of my life. something i wrote on the plane home... [bodytext] => Memories passed reflect and dance in open, unending pools,
And white stars shine bright in the velvet sky, and make me feel so alive.
I stare into the darkness but colour is all I see, such indescribable beauty
And I know that moments like these are golden, rare, incandescent and free

If I could tell the whole world one thing, I would tell them to open their eyes
Because happiness is something so easily gained and something so sublime
For my whole life I cried and died a thousand times
When all I had to do was watch and realise:

Beauty is something outside yourself, but by seeing it you gain it within
Those breathtaking moments are always from simple things, and always free,
That if you just listen and learn and see, you can gain an epiphany
Life comes in little bubbles of air – hold onto them for eternity

wow Lucie dear so poetic and inspiring I loved this your poems are like a refreshing pool to a darkened heart such as my own. I love your poems and I hope your trip has inserted happiness into your beautiful soul that, out of everyone, you deserve the most. Keep on writing and inspiring tired poets such as myself.

"by seeing it you gain it within" and the simple things always free, I agree with completely! I try to schedule my schooling to the campus where I can see the mountain peak in the sunlight. Sometimes inspiration comes from such things. Blessings!
