I always pick myself up,
Whenever I happen to fall.
I am not rich, nor am I poor,
For I am full of love from the Lord.
My skin is black, and not white,
But does that make me wrong, and you right.
I can not hear, but I know when one is crying,
By the glimpse of a tear.
I might not be able to run,
But that don’t give you no right to make fun.
I can walk, and I can talk,
But can you see like a hawk.
I might not be able to read,
But I can make a flower grow, from planting a seed.
Don’t judge me, for what I can’t do,
Because everday, I learn something new,
And one day, you just might be in my shoes.
Then everything you do,
May also feel brand new. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 178 [topic] => 48 [informant] => rylo [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )
