The gates of hell are opening
Can you taste the blood
All of the hated
The bad and the good
The darkness is falling
Falling all around
The daylight is fading
Then comes a deafening sound
Its the sound of the angels
That are dying in the dark
Trying to save your soul
To save that last hopeful spark
You close your eyes
You've learned to dispise
Hate all your fellow man
You once dreamt of love and laughter
Now you dream only when you can
You dream in the daylight
Stay awake in the night
Hollowed empty darkened soul
Death holds you so very tight
Open your eyes no light around
The stars have all fallen
And all you have now are darkened daydreams
In the afternoons calling

| Wow. This has to be the best poem I've read in a while. I LOVED the dark atmosphere, and the choice of words were really excellent and effective. Overall, an amazing piece of work. Well done. |
