Remember when we first met?
It seems so long ago
Every thought I had of you
Was something I wanted you to know
Remember when you said I love you?
When I believed every single word
And when I thought I was in love
The thought of it was absurd
Remember when you grabbed my hand?
My heart jumped into my throat
Silently I thanked God for letting me have you
So I suppose this pain is my fault
Remember when I wanted to die?
You stayed and held me silently
Thinking I was the luckiest girl in the world
To have you loving me
Remember when you left me for her?
Probably not as well as I
Leaving me to die on the cold dead floor
Realising everything we had was a lie
Remember when wed talk for hours?
When you taught me to trust again
Promising me youd never hurt me
When we became more than special friends
Remember when you walked away?
And when you no longer caught my fall
Remember when you were all I needed?
Do you remember me at all?
