Another Bunch Of Speechless Coppers...

Contributed by deathdrop on Friday, 27th August 2004 @ 05:41:22 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Im thinking about the other day.
The day I was placed under mental health act again.

I remember getting to the police station,
And falling down on the floor.
And crying so much out of me,
Until I eyes were so sore.
I could barely even speak,
I was too much in shock.
My cheeks were burning so much,
And I had liquefied snot

I sat facing the wall,
Self-injuring my skin.
Then they were asking for my bag,
But I wouldnt hand it in.
They were speaking some thing to me,
I cant even remember what.
I just know I passed it to them,
So they would just shut up.

Two of them searched it.
While, one stayed with me.
At that point I was so beyond a strode head.
That what was said,
Just didnt touch me.

Until they read my suicide note,
I couldnt find the strength,
But when they actually read it,
The words shot from my head

But the sergeant said Ive got talent,
And he didnt act mad at all.
I was really shocked he did that!
I thought hed just make me fall.
That was a mucked up emotion!
The fact that he seemed to care.
He proved he understood my explosions!
All the while I was standing there.
He said that Ive got skill,
And that my work is really good.
So I told him to read my suicide book,
Hoping then Id be more understood.
And he read some, including the worse one!
He read Bitter Memories, the poem dirtied with mud

He asked me if Id told.
He was looking really sad.
Almost like hes been abused too,
He looked like he really had!
I said, Yeah, I made the video,
So I could take him to court.
Only there was no forensic evidence,
Just a little abused girl scarred and distraught.
He looked at me.
So did the other 2 or 3 coppers behind.
Like theyve NEVER come across some one,
That was SEXUALLY ABUSED when she was nine!

Raw or not.... you've really captured the scene here. That sergeant sounds like an angel! There are others, you know... you find them in the least likely places --- police stations, obviously, included and... here as well, I think. It takes a while to find them sometimes... but you will.

Please keep writing... even if it seems like no one understands it immediately - eventually someone will. In the meantime... do it just for yourself.

This is so very emotive... thanks for sharing it - I find it quite moving that you did.

Nice work. I kept thinking it might work better as a narrative, but lines like "shot from my head" really do the job. If this is for real, I hope you can work it through. Don't wreck your own life over someone else's sin.
