I wish i may and wish i might
Make this wish and with it
You'll make it come true
I wish for the strength
To walk down this path
That i have tried to walk so many times before
But my weakness always brought me to the floor
I wish for the power
To row this boat a-shore
Maybe someone will find my letters
Sealed in a bottle and tossed away
A setting sun i've seen before
Brings the same old moonlit sky
I'll make this wish same as before
On the first star i see tonite
A thousand times i've fallen off my horse
A thousand times i've gotten back on
But this time i can't get up
Seems as though there is no hope left
The stars all look the same
Tonight i leave them no wish
I feel as though i could die
Shooting stars out of the sky

then I go to the mountain and climb to its peak...and sit and hunger all alone...and look up to the sky.....and once again I speak the words....I wish I may...I wish I might...be among you on this very night.

wishing upon a star can be the most greastest wish you could ever do, or have.........keep wishing,...........things DO come true! Very subtle beautiful write!

great write. wishing does nothing, action does. you have the motivation of wanting, but you have to do something to get it. time is of the essence in life. and life is what we make of it.

Ah... but u never know where those wishes and dreams may lead u... look at me a year and a half ago... I never thought I'd be doing this... oh... writing maybe... but not as much and then posting them on the net...
A little encouragement goes a long... long way....
Beautifully written poem... thanks for sharing...
