Array ( [sid] => 6173 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Still, We Are Your Children… [time] => 2002-11-04 06:30:00 [hometext] => At times, I feel down, even depressed. Then I see more of how others have it worse then myself. I may have it rough, but others have a heavier cross to bear... Lessons to learn and live by... our lives are interwoven to one. In unison, we can achieve so much more...How we still come back and pick up, even the road so rocky and unsure... Still, We are His Children... [bodytext] => How I look upon thee for guidance
To lean towards your open light
There for me always, the pain, sorrow wiped away
Somehow you know when I had enough

To see certain events unfold to me
I’m unleashing thy mind selflessly
The souls who stand before Thee
Have withstood more then I

Those who have done acts of faith
Not for an audience of all
But done so, without knowing it was to happen
So, You show to me, how faith works

Take the little man I see in the park
Sitting on the bench, his bed for the night
Or the old man, asking for money in town
The young one scrounging in the garbage, still, Your children

I walk by them, almost daily, sometimes wishing more for them
How guilty I am for not always helping them
Sometimes, I only have a few coins
But them, they have nothing to spare

So you see Lord, I am sorry
For not being all of me, This trust you put in all of us
Isn’t all what it should be. There are so many who lie, cheat, steal
To act like those poor souls, to make us hesitate, instead of giving to them

Please forgive me, for I should see more insight
See the real poor people, know who they are
They are those who do steal, lie, cheat, for still, they are your children
How you must grieve for them, for us all who don’t understand

I feel selfish for just doing what I can
Perhaps not enough, for inside I cry
The tears not just on my cheeks they fall
But my heart breaks for what I cannot always do for those less fortunate

I know I cannot heal the world, for it’s too large a task
But if we pray, and just work together, pray as one
The power of that prayer, whatever it may ask or be thankful for
I know Lord, you do hear it, but more so in us all, in unison
Still, We are Your Children…

what a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful heart you have, I've helped many in my life, even got taken by a few, but I know God was watching, be a begger or a thief I believe he loves us all and the thiefs pay for the sin at the end, do what your heart must, time is short, and life has a beautiful meaning, thanks for sharing,

Lovely thoughts you write here Amber,
Sorry I've been away from the site for a little while! Thankyou for your words.
I too feel guilty for not being able to help everyone more needy than me.
But we can only do what we can, God knows this and loves us all the same anyway.
Your kind heart is most certainly in what I understand to be the right place.
Again, lovely write.

With love
Dean;-)
