Leading toward my soul
As time elapses,
Through untold changes
Life will seize its desperate toll

Loneliness and fears take over
Pushing sense beyond my reach
No longer can I bear the heartache
Growing olds’ begun to teach

Gaze upon my face in daylight
Subtle camber/ young skins glow
Inside my heart lie
torn & tattered
Shattered but for new bloods flow

Someone fix me!
Cry I
Outward,
Upward,
Spreading to the sky
It carries to the highest winds
Yet returns a silent, blank reply

Every day revives my seeking
Striving forth to find a cure
And when I catch your gaze upon me
I lie with smiles I wish were pure. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 193 [topic] => 61 [informant] => psyche [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => selfstruggles )
