Array ( [sid] => 62156 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Wave of Mutilation [time] => 2004-09-01 06:28:16 [hometext] => Ok I'm back, this is my style of writing, its horrific, disturbing and very relevant to the lives we live today. Enjoy. [bodytext] => The ocean shimmers in the sun of late afternoon,
Another floater lays pale and lifeless,
Face down in the uninviting abyss of doom,
Passers-by show little if none interest,
In their million dollar yachts still filled with hope

But vengeance comes to all who ignores this lost soul,
Always lost in their infatuations,
These poignant inhumane wastes will be swallowed whole,
By this growing wave of mutilation,
Divine retribution for ignoring this life

Quietness

Creeping shadows soon grope the unsuspecting sun,
Blocking all rays of light, darkness is here,
The impure ink black ocean begins to retreat,
Yachts are stranded. They are compelled by fear
Adrenaline rushes, they know that its coming

Its Here

A ten foot dark red wave creeps slowly above them,
Inside the swirling depths of blood lies pain,
It’s the blood of the innocent; dead from each sin,
That we have committed just to stay sane,
Silver glistens in the blood; every razor blade…

Death

It comes crashing down on them chocking them to death,
While every razor blade peels of their skin,
The blood soaked waves knock out every single breath,
Their wealth is know worthless; greed is their sin
Dreams of opulence are dead, paucity is left

Retribution

The waves subdue leaving a lake of blood and bone,
Nothing is left,
Nothing at all
But the lost souls of those who created splendour
That wave of mutilation, cleansing all the filth [comments] => 6 [counter] => 520 [topic] => 13 [informant] => alecfernadez [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Gaphic imagary within ever word, oh and the desired effect is almost overwhelming, you have a way of awakening in the mind the very poem alive and raging to get everything trapped within.
Beautifully written.

Take care always
