Array ( [sid] => 62938 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => nowhere to go [time] => 2004-09-07 20:40:48 [hometext] => despite the tone this takes at the end, it's not suicide poetry [bodytext] => monsters that hide from the daylight
come to make their move at night
they rear their heads and make me see
all the things gone wrong in me

waiting for hours for sleep to come
and wishing that I could just go numb
instead my heart aches and I try
to find somewhere on my pillow that is dry

my mood, I've learned to mask so well
the pain inside, no one can tell
everything, I bottle up inside
but I've run out of places to hide

there's nowhere to go from here
a solution is sure to be near
to these wounds, I must tend
one way or another, it will end [comments] => 4 [counter] => 170 [topic] => 61 [informant] => lanna047 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => selfstruggles )

I'm always happy to hear it isn't a suicide write.
this is very good writing as you've taken the first step of letting it go.
25 years ago when I found my mom was dieing I couldn't sleep so I picked up the pen to find peace and here I am still at it. My mom was a poet too.
Before she passed I promised to pick up the pen where she left off. She was very pleased and now is one of many guardian angels that visit me.
Keep up the writing as it's theraphy to one's soul.
luv, huggs,
emy

wow this is so good and so very sad. I loved the second stanza because I can relate to it
so well. This was so deep and poetic and yet
despite the layer of sadness expressed in
this tender poem I couldn't help but notice the
hope in the last line.
