A Tale Of Rape

Beautiful girl with the long blonde hair
The one that causes all the boys to stare
Pretty smile and inviting eyes
To this child is her demise

Attracting men far from her age
The type of men who should be caged
Evil thoughts race through their mind
Plotting, hoping, waiting for time

And like a cat they suddenly pounce
On her tiny frame, that doesn’t weight an ounce
Leaving her scared, dazed and confused
Like a ragdoll, she’s been used

Innocence taken, given is fear
That will last through out her years
This precious child forever gone
From the man who caused her harm

Still today, although she’s grown
She runs to another broken home
Trying to find peace inside
From the demons, she tries to hide

And yet the man who caused her pain
Lives far away, using another name
Looking for the pretty girl
That he can again get his thrill [comments] => 9 [counter] => 203 [topic] => 8 [informant] => Jeff_Scott_Morehead [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 18 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AmericanTragedy )

The rhyme is a little forced and a couple revisions in word choice would be good. regarding the subject matter, one in every two women is raped in her life time. 3 out of every five boys. and these statistics are low. Rape is an epidemic perpetuated by a sexist culture with a fetish for disempowering others as a means of empower ones self. It's encouraged by a sexist media. Way to go on bringing your voice to this issue.

It was a good poem, the ending was a little off something was missing. But just out of curiosity you being a male what made you write a poem about this topic. Now I'm going by the name Jeff which maybe could be a womans name. But don't get my question wrong I was just curious. I also had a concern in the first paragragh of the poem. It almost seems as if it's the girls fault because she has inherited this bueaty. Just an observation.
