[bodytext] => Are you enjoying your life?
Missing the people you left behind?
Did you ever look back?
Wonder how we were?
Your silence answers my thoughts.

I remember when I first met you,
So shy and yet so outspoken.
You rang me that afternoon,
Wanting an answer I couldn't give.
I relented and said yes to you.

To say we were awkward is wrong,
I panicked every morning,
Wasn't sure what you'd expect in me.
The longest week in my life,
I've regretted you ever since.

Now six years have passed us by,
I still see you everyday.
You've changed so much since then,
So cocky and so arrogant.
Don't know the old you anymore.

Where did the boy I loved go?
Each day I fall more for you,
I know your bad but I can't stop.
Did you once feel this for me?
I fear you yet can't change how I am.

You walk with your fan club,
The girls that fawn over you.
Writing your name on their arms,
Branding them with your pen.
If commanded, do they bark for you?

I took the golden heart,
You gave me for my birthday.
Sleeping with it in my hands,
Yet I let go of it in my sleep,
A symbol of me losing your heart.

We kissed only awhile ago,
You breathed air back into me.
Then with you next actions,
Punctured me and I deflated.
I want to feel whole again.

I have to let you go,
I know I do eventually.
My heart still yearns for you,
For reasons I can't voice,
Let me out of your vice like grip.

Had to heave a long breath when I finished this one. What a sad story. Only someone who was there once can understand. Hang in there. I believe there is better ahead for you.

Hi. You offered and I accepted to read your poetry. Very good, btw.

At the end you said you want to feel whole again. No one, especially a cocky and arrogant boy will ever make you feel whole again. Only you can make yourself feel whole again. Only you can find your sense of self, to put your trust and hope into someone else to make you whole again will only disappoint you.

Very good write, btw. I can't wait to read the rest.

Hi. Well you wanated to know what I think of your poetry. I think it's good..different from mine...more straight forward..

My heart still yearns for you,
For reasons I can't voice,

Voice those reasons.. and your poem might have the dreamy quality that you liked in mine..but it was good anyway..just different.
