Does your heart rule your mind, or your mind your heart?
Do all the emotions you feel, know from whence they start?
Do the tears you cry truly bring relief or, only add to the pain?
When finished, will you ever be the same?

Where does a smile begin that is shown on your face?
Is it only on the surface or, deep within a hidden place?
Does it always show what is true, is it always sincere?
Does it hide deep felt feelings, perhaps even fear?

Do the words you speak convey what you truly mean?
Are you sharing your true thoughts and hopeful dreams?
Perhaps you are only expressing what other's want to hear,
afraid to make your inner thoughts clear.

These answer's are only within ourselves, in our soul.
Only we can explain if we are indeed playing a role,
or being the person other's think they know.
We are the master's of this complex show.
