one day we stumbled
you just let me fall
anything to save yourself
you made an excuse to stall
you said you were sorry
but didn't lend a hand
didn't care that I was bruised
didn't help me up to stand
you took the easy way out
you were too scared to fiqht
didn't matter what it took
as long as you were all right
and now I gather myself
picking up the pieces
just trying to accept
how reality never ceases
the evidence stands against you
don't try to deny it
stop making excuses
I'm not going to buy it
don't worry, I'll be fine
I'll just be on my way
don't try to catch up with me
I'll look back at you someday
