You and I met
on a dark day
when the clouds were low
and I was afraid
You found me here
when I was lost to the world
You erased all of my fears
and made me forget the hurt
We saw sunshine in blue skies
and we cried on grey days
We lost ourselves somewhere
but our love always lit the way
Despite the pain we've endured
the worst is over now
and the clouds will break
and we can smile again
You are the only one
who can make me cry
but when you hold me close
it makes everything alright
When you brush the hair from my eyes
and you wipe away my tears
You also quiet the cries
that have torn inside for years
I would be lost without you
to help me through these days
With me in your arms
I feel warm and safe
The worst is over now
but we'll still push til the end
We can't give up now
because love has given us another chance
