You've told me that I'm beautiful
Lots of other guys have too
But somehow it means so much more
Because now it comes from you
I've had all the smooth talkers
Try to win me with their charm
But my prize is in the feeling I get
When I'm lying in your arms
I've known guys that try too hard
And guys who don't try at all
But I've never known anyone so ready
To catch me whenever I fall
You say to me, "I love you"
Yeah, I've heard that before
But you don't just say it when we're alone
Behind a closed bedroom door
Other guys used me and cut me down
They lied, and I should've seen it
You say the same things they all did
The difference is you mean it.
