Why can't you understand that I love you,
but I just can't be in love with you?
And just because I don't want to be with you,
doesn't mean I hate you,
because I do care about you alot,
and I have always loved you.
I don't understand why i am,
unable to fall in love with you.
But I just can't love you,
as more than just a friend.
Maybe it's because I did spend,
so much time just being your close friend.
Maybe it's because I care,
too much about how someone looks on the outside,
rather then the person they are on the inside.
Or maybe it's because of you,
and how you would always abuse me,
and say hateful and hurtful things to me.
But I don't want to always fight with you.
I want to be best friends with you.
Why can't you see that I just want things to be,

Why should I even bother talking to you,
when you will not believe me,
when I say I don't hate you,
and if I did, I would tell you?
Why can't you understand that I love you,
but I just can't be in love with you?
And just because I don't want to be with you,
doesn't mean I hate you,
because I do care about you alot,
and I have always loved you.

there are two people that i feel can relate to this--- me and the other that i still care for--- we are so unsure about ourselves that it doesnt mean we dont care or love one another--- we have said some mean and hurtful things---but how does one know if we are meant to be? Its hard i know and i really liked this poem.
