" I Hope You Plenty "

At the hospital I overheard a Mother and Daughter saying together. Just before they wheeled her off to surgery, Mom said to her Daughter, 'I love You Baby, I Hope You Plenty,' The Daughter said, 'Mom, You have given me plenty in life. It's your love I have treasured and needed, I Hope You Plenty, too, Mom,' Just then Mom sited this poem for her titled “ You For Me .”
If I should die and you're not there
I shall be looking for you everywhere
If I can't find you cause you're not there
I'll wait for you by the golden stair
I do believe in God above
He created you just for me to love
So if I go before you do
I will stand by and wait for you
Keep your love alive in me
Cause once again we will be
Together Forever for Eternity
Cause God created You For Me!!!!!
There were many tears of Love and they kissed and she was wheeled off. The Mother came over and sat next to me. She started crying so I offered her some tissue. I was curious and she knew by asking, 'have you ever said a good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?' 'Yes, I have,' I replied. Please forgive me for asking, but why is this your last Good-bye? ' My Daughter has a brain tumor and this is her third surgery and the Doctor's said she probably won't survive. I never heard you say good-bye but rather, 'I Hope You Plenty,' Can I ask you just what that means?' Our family has passed this down from generation to generation. I remember my Mother and Father both saying it to everyone. When we would say, I Hope You Plenty, we were wanting the other person to have a lifetime filled with enough good things to perpetuate them. Our meaning was, I Hope You Plenty of love to always feel special cause you are. I Hope You Plenty of happiness to keep your spirit alive. I Hope You Plenty of hello's to help you through the final good-bye. She then began to sob and I offered her more tissue and a Heart Felt Hug. To all my loved one's and friends, I Hope You Plenty!!!!! It takes only a moment to discover someone special, a few moments to appreciate them, but then it takes an entire lifetime to forget them.
“ He's Always Near “
God's Angel's of mercy, love and grace
Help our Lord with his created race
They are guardians of people everywhere
His ethereal Angel's drift through the air
These are his Angels full of love
Sent to us from God above
Open wide your heart and home
God promises you won't be alone
In our times of great despair
Let God's love show you he does care
He's always reaching out his arms to you
Cause our great creator does love you
When you feel there is no hope
God's Angel's will always help you cope
He wants to wipe away your tears
And reassure you He's Always Near!!!!!

Well, I guess if other poets won't comment I will myself. I think its a great strength to attempt something different in the world of poetry. I am Internationally Renouned and published in many books "as I pat myself on the back" and thought why not try to create a short story with poetry. My other poetry sites have provided some very promising feed back to this different type of poetry. Now I am in the process of creating a book to enhance my creative talents and make myself more marketable. Life is poetry in motion and I owe my talents to my precious Purple Headed Pub. I Love you PP :o)
