Buddy Is Gone
I sat here one night,
Waiting for You to call.
Now I sit here and wonder, why did I fall?
And why wasn't Buddy around to show me the light?
Finally, I get my chance to dream of your Smile,
But then's when I notice that life's not worthwhile.
Even in the sweetest moments,
Even while having had You as sucha great present,
I know that tomorrow You'll be long gone.
Away You will go with this one new love of yours.
Away here you go, don't ever let her go.
Because once You are lonely, and once she learns to fly,
She will no longer want You, she'll fly here with me.
You will regret it when You see to this day
That your love and your buddy are flying together.
Then, one day You will see that your buddy is gone.
One day You'll be longing for me to return.
That day You'll forever be whining and crying,
For I know You still care and love me so.
But since there's no way in putting all this away,
I will forever stay the one You wished and dreamed of.
As You know that I will too forever care for You,
As well as I will forever love You so.
How I'm falling to pieces,
Day after day and night after night,
How I still sit here awaiting, hoping and longing for You.
I think I will forever keep You in my heart.
Forever will You stay the road-runner in my mind.
But for now, I'll be missing You and tomorrow too,
As there is no chance for both, me and You.
Is this the end of us?
Will we really become enemies?
Will I hear no more of my Buddy?
I don't want to miss a thing.
I don't know what to tell You.
I don't know how to tell You.
I don't know why it is,
But believe me, it is true,
I do very much love You so.
