Youve been burned so many times before
You dont deserve it, no, you dont
And though you think youll never find someone
Thats not what I believe
Maybe you cant see the wonder you are
But I can
And Im sure someone else will, too
You wont have a reason to sulk around
For very long
Because someone will stumble upon you
Theyll give you what youve never had
Make you smile, make you glad
Make you forget all the hurt you knew
Theyll brighten your nights, liven your days
Love all of you and your wonderful ways
Youll finally have someone who deserves you
Everyone faces their struggles
Their heartbreaks and their downfalls
But that only means things will get better
Because no one stays down in the ditch
Feeling rejected and small
Someday your face will shine
Like the moon in the sky
Breaking through darkness,
Replacing the lies
And then you will know
Whats it like
To feel whole
And so alive
Theyll give you what youve never had
Make you smile, make you glad
