Further than ever

Broken Promises

You brought me down
Further than ever
You made me fall
When it really mattered
You drowned me
With the pain given
You shattered my reflection
In an instant

Words have no meaning
With the promises broken
The shattered glass is used
To my advantage
To forget what happened
Each time the pain was felt

If only more people would realize just how much words hurt... In my opinion, broken promises will always hurt much more than nearly any physical wound I could ever endure.
