reflecting sadness.
a glimpse into the soul,
of a broken girl,
held down by the ties,
only her mother can break.

blanks stares from the
outsiders perspective.
anger shines down on her
already beaten path.
the unruly glow of a
blackened sky shimmers.

as dark turns to day,
the shadows begin to give way,
opening only for a rain cloud,
floating by as if a daily routine.
constant rainshowere fill the mind,
of this helpless burden to society.

finally, the sun shines upon,
the coarse forest in her own hell.
the rain evaporates leaving life,
in a once desolate wasteland.
birds begin to seranade,
her reanimated dream world.

back in reality, or so-called life,
a superficial smile still,
masks the healing deep down.
the mirrors still reflect,
a bitter, tortured soul.
but she's on her way,
on an equally beaten path,
to making her smile real again. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 151 [topic] => 65 [informant] => SuperAsh16 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => toughstuff )
