What is it about this morning of hate
That makes me love you even more?
What is it about all your lies
That makes me want you more?

Why do you do this everyday?
Why do you suck down white powder
And lie to us all.
Why do you kiss me tenderly
And hurt me brutally?

Can't you just forget who you say you are?
Can't you just become yourself again?
I want to see you, the true you.
The you that's not all dolled up in make up
And dancing around in platform shoes.

I don't know what to make of you anymore
Of your words and your songs.
I don't what to think anymore
About you and your clothes.

The first time I saw you
I bet you didn't even know I was looking.
But how could you tell I was staring right at you
When you were staring so hard at me?

And what happened to the sweet innocent face?
That long light brown hair
and purple velvet dress.
Where did you go?

It seems like just yesterday
That we first talked,
It still seems like we'll last forever
Even if you're so far gone.

I'll hold you close forever
If you just come back to me,
Not the way you are now,
But they way you where back then.

Back then when you where my true love,
Back then when nothing mattered at all.
We could be in love and no one would care
Not even you.

Now you left me all alone,
You slipped your skin and fled.
I can't even see you anymore,
You are long gone, long dead.

Just come back to me for a day
And be the way you where back then.

Beautiful poem doesn't quite say it..the truth is ugly and I've seen that truth..you captured it in a way that made it poetry...that's something. Really something.
