Array ( [sid] => 66641 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Look UP to the Sky [time] => 2004-10-08 20:10:29 [hometext] => If you are reading down the poem, then you will not understand much like how a pessimist will be so sad that he will miss the point. If you read the poem down to up, like an optimist, your head will rise and you will understand life. [bodytext] => For it feeds off the darkness.
Yet the human mind tricks us,
Insignificantly small,

Of which the universe is created.
A subatomic particle,
However our problems are merely a spec,

Blackening our sky.
Our problems appear infinitely large,
So focused inward,

As he realizes the truth of his people.
The perpetuity of the universe fills him,
The little boy now stares at the infinitum,

The stars guide him beyond.
With bright little drops of light,
Dotting the emptiness,

And is now able to see the galaxies.
So he looks past the system of planets,
He is not pleased with the dark,

His eyes re-adjusting to the darkness.
Into the heart of the solar system he stares,
He decides to look beyond,

So used to darkness.
However, the brightness burns his eyes,
The sky is blue and bright above the drops,

And looks past the cloud.
He decides to look past the water formation,
Staring at the darkness of the sky,

While one child stares at a falling drop of rain.
Hiding underneath a fabricated dome,
Rows of wet clothing hanging their heads down,

As drops fall one by one.
Bringing bleakness into hearts of men,
The dark clouds hang,

What an amazing piece. I read it both ways, and I thought it was interesting how it just seemed to fit no matter how you read it. I love the style, original.
