As I kneel beside my bed
I'm okay right now, God
'Cause my Dad's just coming in
Dear God, I love my Daddy
As far as my little eyes can see
He has to leave me in the mornings, God
He says,"To make a home for me."
I'd go without my shoes, God
I don't need much to eat
Pizza, God, just pizza
It's our own special treat
Some times he's late
My little heart aches
I'm only five, you see.
I'll need him for all my tomorrows
Please, God, bring him home to me. [comments] => 9 [counter] => 239 [topic] => 23 [informant] => Dot [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FamilyPoems )
