Upon the rocks and shore

As the tide rises to the sand

Washes away any trace

Of the castle that I made

With my own two hands

But it is not no more

For I still have my hands

And I can build it again

Better than before

In a different place

Where the waves cannot reach

And when it is done I will

Sit on the rocks and think of you

As I watch the sun set

With its orange and pinks

Over the water

It reflects the light

Back over the horizon

And makes my day almost complete

The sun fades away bit by bit

And the stars start to appear

The clouds conceal the moon

And then I see you

How beautiful you are

In a most simple way

The way I love

I think you are why

The sun sets

You bring out the beauty

In all of the night

As the light from the stars

Give you this glow

And flowers bloom

With you every step

As you walk to me

Your bare feet leaving

Prints in the sand

That the ocean loves to fill

And fade out as if

You had not been there

Because it is jealous of you

How beautiful you are

You are the one thing

I can ever

Love more than the sea

You sit by me

I take you into my arms

And you fade away

Back into my memories
