Well I went to this UKA site
I thought sooner or later I might
try an English affair
see what scores I got there
Oh! the ego was driving me on
My reception was distinctly cool
and I realised that I was a fool
expecting to score
in the hundreds or more......
I was lucky to get thirty one.
Humility came like a shower
I struggled for hour after houwer
re-writing my verses
with anguish and curses
It's taken six months...now I'm done.
So here I come then, crawling back
sort of re-railing onto Amtrack
and the wider world stage
there to re-engage
with old friends (and "find me some sun".)
Oh I didn't do bad in UK
It took a while finding my way
I've had some successes
contentions, distresses.....
Very serious (not so much fun)
So I've got on my cyberspace "bike"
I've a few new, I hope you might like
and all your's to read
give me time please, I plead
every day I'll read two and post wun.
