destroys a piece of my heart?
Doubtful,
how could he know that I love him so much,
that I would gladly give my life for his?
But then, so would every other girl that he meets.
His attraction is deadly, his attention is cruel.
How can he act as if nothing is wrong between us?
To him, I am just another girlfriend,
as for me, he’s all I ever wanted.
What happens when you get all that you ever wanted?
You find out that it would have been best,
to never have had it at all.

powerful write. excellent concept. sometimes we go for the things we think are unreachable and when we have them it doesnt seem like it deserved to be on the pedistool we put it on, and later we just dont care about it anymore and want something else.

I agree with the other comment... this is a very powerful write... and an excellent concept...
It's just human nature to want what we can't have or what we think is unreachable... un attainable... then when we get it... we either don't have a clue as what to do with it or feel we don't deserve it and wind up losing it...
Good write... by the way welcome to YPDC...
Hope to read more from u... u are an excellent writer... I know that just by the 2 I've read so far... keep up the great work...
huggs and love...

My first thoughts after reading this were: Wow. Very powerful. I especially like the last two lines. I think that a lot of people can relate, and that makes this poem really good! I love it!
