I'm taking it back
My life
You threw me off track
Of my life
And now I will get back on course
Of my life
Because your ways a frown will not force
On my face
You got to me for a time
In my life
But now I look and I find
In the mirror
A strength emerging far better than you
In my soul
And now I know just what to do
For myself
I am letting you go and all that you are
Leaving it behind
Without your noose I know I will go far
In my life
I'm taking it back
My life
I am no longer off track
In my life
