The black rose of dawn
Has dew cascading down
The stem with thorns that have drawn
The blood of every foe till now

The white rose has shown
That it will not suffer the black rose
It shall transcend and not be forsaken
With not having its blood taken
It shall live another day to give
A new meaning to not give in to sin

The crimson rose of tears
Symbolizes all of the fears
From bleeding to live another day
When it wasn't worth the pain
The black rose has drawn its blood
Leaving it a pale white rose
That will not bleed anymore
Because it has nothing more to give
It's left without any sin
And has transcended the pain within [comments] => 13 [counter] => 254 [topic] => 13 [informant] => essentially9 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 28 [ratings] => 6 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Wow I was drawn into this poem from the
very first line and held until the final
reverbrations faded away in my head. To put it
simply I loved this and I hate to get religious
on you, but the last few lines reminded me of
Jesus wiping our sins... I don't know if you
meant it that way or even if your a Christian
but that's what i got. Beautiful poem...

I kept picturing a white rose splattered with blood. Isn't that the picture of us all?
Quite a write. Glad I checked out some of your poetry today.

That must be the most beautiful image I have read today. I love your allegory of roses for Christ, sin, and redemption. How incedible... breathtaking, beautfiul work... glory to God.
