Array ( [sid] => 68870 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Wait [time] => 2004-10-25 21:45:26 [hometext] => I wrote this, upset about stupid things that happen in life [bodytext] => I don't know who I am anymore, life is a game and I'm losing, and I've lost track of the score. If you ask me where I see myself in five years, probably homeless, hopeless, and alone, one of my greatest fears. I am scared of looking into my own eyes, why can no one else see through my disguise. I don't want to worry about all these things, it makes me sick to see tyrants live like kings. I take it back I do know who I am, homeless, jobless, with a backstabbing family and very few people that go from being a boy to a man. When is someone going to tell me I'm beautiful? No one has because inside and out I'm not and I'm fat from eating until I'm full. What is my life going to amount to? I need to get over myself because others have been through more than I've been through. Someone hurry, help me quick! Before my time expires and I make my clock make its last tick. WHo am I kidding? No one's going to save me, I am supposed to save myself but I'm tired of letting things be. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait, waiting for God to reveal my fate. we must take our life in our own hands and sometimes that doesnt even help. perspective makes us see things as either bad or good, and we basically just start leaning to the same side for everything once we start thinking that. change the things you can control but the things you can you have to let go of and stop worrying about.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
