Queries Bush inside his monkey like brain
As the flames of nationalistic discontent
Rise ever higher and higher
Accountability, a foreign word
To the current American regime
As U.S. soldiers take more and more liberties
Due to plain stupidity and mismanagement
Of an unelected, incompetent government
Basic rights abused
Geneva Agreement "forgotten"
Ok'd by the same mindless party line
(Until it happens to them)
Puffed up pride and smirking arrogance
Take the place of accountable government
Preached democracy, yet made allies
With a military government
All in the name of convenience
Promising lives snuffed out
Scandal after scandal revealed
Ok'd by empty words and blind indifference
Through all this Bush smiles and waves
(Oh, admire his strength and fortitude!)
Making empty promises and unaware
Of the blood tainting his hands
And mistaking the flames of discontent
For flames of nationalistic fervor and pride
How can you vote for and trust this joke? [comments] => 4 [counter] => 179 [topic] => 41 [informant] => bobotheclown [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 16 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => political )

woah, I love the twist you managed to fit into this political piece. It gives me a new perspective on voting and the president.

Kisses,
