Driving 90
Thunder is booming overhead, ringing through my ears
Lightnight flashing in my face
Wipers are on full blast
but it does nothing,

The rain is coming down to strong
There's a crack in the window
And it's seeping in
The wind is trying
To push me of the road
The potholes make it bumpy
As I struggle to keep in control

The radio is on
Screaming at me
The clock slowly turns
As the minutes slide by
Can't see the road sings
They're blurred by the storm
Keep driving on, looking for a break in some form

Hail starts shooting down
Pounding me into the ground
No, this isn't the end
I've got to keep on driving
Musn't lose my power
Every storm has an end
And on the other side is a rainbow
And a new start begins [comments] => 2 [counter] => 198 [topic] => 48 [informant] => lostforgood [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )
