made of razors, clay, and paper mache.
And these scars that run deep into my veins,
have hardened up enough to keep me sane.

Where's this love I've been searching for?
The cinematic, wind-swept, golden touch
from the beautiful stranger I yearn to adore...

The piano is finely tuned,
and the violins have their strings.
Anxiously waiting for them
to play me into this dream.

Alone, I close my eyes,
with noone in sight.
Hoping to reopen them
with dark, glassy eyes
staring into mine.

They reach in deep
and take my breath away,
as your soul paints mine
with angelic hues.

Let my skin intertwine with yours,
dripping love seeps from our pores.
You cast away the dark grays,
and bless me with pretty blues.

Hoping to see you.
Wanting to feel you.
Needing to breathe you.

All this love that I speak of,
and I don't even know you... [comments] => 5 [counter] => 181 [topic] => 2 [informant] => Clementine [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

Welcome to the club, Clementine! It certainly sounds like you qualify for membership! *wink*

This is lovely. There are many, many hopeless romantics here at YPDC... that will understand the emotion behind this write. Well done!

and... although I'm a tad late... Welcome to YPDC!

BEAUTIFUL! I love this stanza.... so colorful:

Let my skin intertwine with yours,
dripping love seeps from our pores.
You cast away the dark grays,
and bless me with pretty blues.
