I was staring deep into your eyes
examining every little detail
I could see from where I was

I loved every little pore on your nose
Every tiny hair on your skin
I was there at your feet, yours only yours
And then you decided to kill me

Now I stand here, a new and better being
With nothing to weep over but memories
Of the losses and mistakes unable to change
With a slight image of your face, in the back of my mind

Today I stopped dead in my tracks
as my thoughts wondered onto you
once again, like they seem to do
from time to time, to time...

Once again, an image of your face
but my heart jolted, and my lungs ceased up this time..
all because I could not remember
the colour of your eyes..

The love that once soared through my veins for you
and now I cant remember the shade of your eyes
It seemed like my heart, broke all over again
It broke down the scars where it healed

And to this day, sometimes
when i glance into the eyes of some
your face appears on theirs
and Im forced to live with that torment

I wish i could let you go...

I wish you really had been the remedy i thought you were
and not the poison i never expected you to be
