Some where in our hectic lives
We've lost what we once shared
We were once soul mates
Always showing how much we cared
But we have chosen different paths
Which has made us drift apart
The pain this is causing me
Leaves an empty void in my heart
I've always felt I could come to you
Free from misconceptions
Now that we're so far apart
I don't feel the same affection
How could we let this happen?
I silently shed my tears
I need you back in my life
To calm my raging fears.
I miss the moments that we shared
Like a hole in the heart
Can't we go back in time?
Right back to the start?
I miss you more than you'll ever know
I only hope you could understand
I need you beside me
To love me and hold my hand
I want what we had before-
The soul mate thing and all
But no matter how far apart we are
I'll always be there to catch you when you fall.
