What couldn’t be said
Those words she longed to hear
He couldn’t give them to her
He was a married man
And she was not his wife
Yet something happened between them
It started with a smile
Blooming into friendship
That took them by surprise
They talked and laughed
Until desire began to yearn
Longing for release
One kiss they couldn’t resist
The temptation was too much
In passions heat they wrapped themselves
Cocooned in silent dreams
Accepting this was all they had of
What could never be…

Sometimes ( most of the time) your writes hit home with me in a way I can't explain. This one hurts to read.
