To find nothing there
Her necklace is gone
The one she told him she'd always wear
She starts to freak out
Wondering where it is
He gave that to her on her birthday
The one he said he'd always love her
The one where he told her they'd always be together
The necklace was a symbol of this
And she had lost it
She doesn't know what to do
It's not where she put it

He's comming up her front steps
About to be at the door
She doesn't want him to know she's lost it
But knows she won't be able to lie to him about it
She's afraid of what he'll say
He told her what that necklace meant to him
To them both
Will he ever forgive her
Or will she loose him forever
It's just a necklace she thinks to herself
But this necklace means something special
It's a symbol of their love for each other
And she's lost it

He's inside now
He looks at her
"Where's your necklace?"
Tears start to form in her eyes
And she tells him what she's done
"Don't cry" he says
"That necklace was just there to show you that I truly loved you... I've always known I have... and that necklace won't change that."
She still cries but not so much
"I love you" he says "You don't need a necklace to prove that."
"I love you too" she says
Feeling foolish that she ever cried over such a little thing [comments] => 2 [counter] => 154 [topic] => 31 [informant] => jishes_4_ever [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => StoryPoetry )
