I'm not sure why i wrote this one really but Maybe you can ask yourself if you've really lived your life, as i know i've had to ask myself that alot lately... [bodytext] => Have you ever seen a heart broken small child,
with not one single toy, tears falling so mild
Or seen the night time with no stars to shine
With no twinkle to kiss your pretty sleepy eyes

Have you heard the silence outside from the wind
There are no birds chirping, no newborns to tend
Does the grass stand still as if somthing just died
Or was that the ladybug saying good bye

Don't you smell the sweet honey drifting in the air
Can't you see how the lightening bugs love you with care
Do you see the bark on that tree it's so brown
Or do you just see it's all dried with a frown

Have you ever seen a leopard outrun a cheeta
Or seen the stripes in the sun shining off the zebra's
Can you hear the rain coming from far away
You can smell it's sweet kiss, it's taste of pain

Have you ever sat lonely right next to a bum
Been mistaken for homeless while drinking your rum
Have you smelled the blanket of one homeless man
Or shared your cold drink with him holding your hand

Have you seen the fog as it kisses the earth
Or felt the tears fall from your father's hurt
Have you taken that walk that nobody will take
Don't live with regrets but keep making mistakes

We all learn from our mistakes so harshly but true
What is it you see on this earth i ask you
Do you ever feel the pain of another in need
Or do you just sit in your own pain and bleed

Does the night time's thunder ever call your name
In the night when it's dark and there's no one to blame
Do you ever get that chilling spine gripping feeling
That you've not done somthing right, that your not living

Have you had the emotions of love, pain, and hurt
Or cried in anger with hope, faith and smirks
Have you asked yourself if your happy with your life
Or have you been caged up, just doing what's right

Hi OreO,
This is an excellent write and a great subject.
You have painted realism into a wonderful picture with your words.
I have experienced many of these moments,
and have often been criticized by my peers for sharing time with society defined "Bums",
a sharing I might add that has been so rewarding for me and moments I will always treasure.
Another great write.
Bye for now,
Fwog

You of all people should know that I've thought about this stuff lol. I loved it and I thought it was truly remarkable. It almost sounds like a song you'd hear on the radio and truly loved but you'd never know who the singer or even the name of the song was. It's like it speaks to you and in doing so you could care less about who sings it or who wrote it. It's touching. But luckily we know who wrote this lol. And hopefully some people who never looked at any of these things will begin to see things differently and recognize the little things in the world. Thank you
