Bleeding In The Shadows

I cannot heal
No, I won't allow myself that rest
Can I live without the pain?
See, that is the real test
Bleeding in the shadows
I've spent many days here
Suffering all alone
Fighting everything I fear
I'm forbidden the cleansing
My body so craves
Denied what it takes
To wash the blood stains away
Shivering in the darkness
Hiding from the light
Unwilling to reunite with the world
Against my own life I fight
Rancid smell of stale blood
Stuck to me like a second skin
Reaching for the blade
To feed my obsession again
I long for the sting
And for the taste
I slice at the flesh
With such a great haste
Addict of this self-destruction
Inlove with this sick mutilation
How do I break the habit?
That's my only complication

you stop the habit by motivation, reasons, and a strong since of will in your purpose. the light is very allusive even in the dark...
