he was losing air
so i held his head in my arms
and i repeated to his cold face:

‘you’ll be fine, you’ll be alright’

the truth was:
he didn’t have long

i took my knife and dug it into his chest
until his body went limp
goodbye, old friend

i relieved his suffering
and now carry enough for both of us

this poem touched on such an obscure topic..and it really made u feel what it means to lose a friend in one of the hardest ways. I just hope it never happens to me, I have to be really grateful for that, and hope this poem gets to others in the same way.
