Array ( [sid] => 72202 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Hush [time] => 2004-11-18 22:26:49 [hometext] => kinda short but it came to me about 5 minutes ago [bodytext] =>

there it goes again
soft at first, then with a harder more angry push
into the skin to take my pain away
i stifle out one stray cry as I pull the line farther down my skin
it whispers to me
harder, longer, then soft, not too short
its controlling me as I speak
the only way I know how to relax
is to hurt myself in a way no one can comprehend
my wounds are pink at first then a puddle forms
a soft velvety red pours down my skin
dripping ever so softly in a sychronized fashion
first the top cut then the bottom all the way down my arm
its painless and calming
one way to forget what the day has put me through
slowly now I pull the blade back and release my thoughts
my shoulders sink into a relaxed state
I wipe away the blood that has strayed down my arm
slide my blade back into its hiding spot
goodnight little blade sleep tight
until tomorrow night when we meet again [comments] => 2 [counter] => 221 [topic] => 65 [informant] => humboldtsweetie33 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 7 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => toughstuff )

Hmm...intresting. I always found that cutting yourself leads to more attention than relaxation. The poem was cool. But if you are a cutter, might I suggest a healthier way of dealing with stress? Running, walking, swimming, SOMETHING that is more constructive than cutting. Now, that said, I am going to go for a run...
