now adorned with rose petals
a place we go late at night
together as one heeding calls
in eternally bound delight
dancing on broken walls.

Cheeks flush as the rose
called upon by poetic prose
loves first kiss, all heaven knows
sometimes all he ever shows
his lover in passions throes.

Unbound by this love
unchained soaring free above
minds lost in this cold
too afraid to be that bold
they only shake their heads
swearing that love will end so bad
instead of following heartly needs
fear is all they've ever had.

Through poignant words an emotion struck
but stuck on readers lips
as they began to hear forgotten chords
and saw for the first time
the obsidian eyes
of the ghost in the mirror
and so mayhap they truly weep
and know IT was not to keep [comments] => 1 [counter] => 216 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Black13 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

I can't say I really understand It. I think I do; but I'm afraid to speak out in my ignorance..I like what I think I know..
