young and in love
She's two years below
He's two years above
She writes him notes
He still has them all
Every night she awaits
his devoted call.
While only 15,
still learning to drive,
she knew he would go
in 2005
They discussed his leaving
and when he would part
as she cryed on his shoulder
in the core of her heart
she couldn't let him go,
she couldn't let him leave,
she couldn't give him up,
she couldn't bear to grieve.
The love they shared so pure,
the love they shared so strong,
what they had ever special
was now almost gone.
But she could see him again
in another since of life
incase he left forever
all she needed was a knife.
She didn't tell her plan,
he wouldn't have agreed,
she merely said goodbye
and kissed him on the cheek.
Confused and upset,
he tried to understand
the ways of her reasons
as his own tears began.
She kept quiet and sobbed
while he paced the room
for they both new their love
was solid and true.
He wanted an answer,
at which she denied.
"Is it a family thing?
Is it some other guy?"
Questions unanswered,
a love ever lost,
they'd soon find his leaving
of another ones cost.
For she'd sacrifice
a life oh-so young
to watch him forever
in the clouds that are hung.
Her throat slit in half,
his heart split in two,
he looked in the sky
and into the blue.
As she viewed down apon
his face full of grief,
he held up a secret
he'd been keeping for weeks.
A small, velvet box
now full of pain,
it would've been hers
come his graduating day.

To those in love, don't be rash. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 157 [topic] => 2 [informant] => Faddy [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )
