Mother Earth

Beneath the thousand twinkling stars that scatter the distance sky
Mother earth once again show her radiance beauty
As she is covered with a pure white blanket of snow
And the glitter of the frost that hangs from the bows of the trees
Reminding me that all that glitters is not gold
As I walk the path of life I will give to mother earth
The respect that she deserves for all that she has given me
As I listen attentively to the wind
I will hear the cry of my ancestors
As their voices echo out across this beautiful land
Reminding me always to dances to the beat of the drums
For I was born a free spirit I belong to mother earth
And to mother earth one day I shall return
