But I tell you this is true.
I just thought you should know,
For it can happen to you too.

I bought a little sailboat,
And I headed for the sea,
For all the fun adventures
That were waiting there for me.

Soon I couldn’t see
Land from either side.
I shed a tear or two
Wishing for the tide.

I came upon an island,
Cold, scared, and all alone.
It wasn’t ‘til the morning
That I charted the unknown.

I found a patch of daisies,
And a dainty little stream.
I tasted choconutties
Covered in gooey gluey cream.

Soon I got so sleepy
That I settled for a nap.
And I awoke to find
A snickle in my lap.

His eyes were like blueberries,
And his skin was powder pink
He had fuzzy purple hair,
And he giggled with a wink.

He motioned me to follow,
And I could not resist
Exploring the wild jungle
Like gorillas in the mist.

We came up to a cave,
And he handed me a card.
It said “Say the secret password,
But you must think very hard.”

Three guesses I received,
And I looked about for help.
“Bottleslingleberrysnout.”
Dapper Dundledoos did yelp.

The cave opened right up,
And what a sight it was.
Big bobble buildings were
All covered in blue fuzz.

And though we said no words,
My guide made a hasty dash.
How I knew I don’t know,
But his name was surely Nash.

I stood and watched in awe
At the city down below.
I was greeted with a feast
By the lovely Princess Mo.

The entire city came,
And we waited for the king.
The feast he did commence
By a bell that he did ring.

And afterwards we sang,
And danced a jig or two.
I shouted with a laugh
“My arm is turning blue!”

My hosts they did all snicker,
For it was such a sight.
The King was so impressed
He made me a grand knight.

He said that they would call
If ever there was trouble.
But now return to home,
By cave and all its rubble.

When I finally got home,
And I saw my Mom and Dad.
I gave them great big hugs
For I’ve never been so glad!

I cleaned up my dirty room,
And I took out all the trash.
And sometimes I still wonder,
About my good friend Nash.

I am sure that he is happy,
And eating ringydams,
Hopping through the forest
On the Island of Shazam.
